Currently Dreaming of: Summer Adventures Day&Night
This weekend was a busy one – we started off by trying a new pizza place in town for an easy Friday night dinner.
Saturday morning we participated in the Back on My Feet 5 miler before heading out of the city to visit family. The run was perfect – its the first race I’ve participated in about a year and it felt great to be supporting such a great cause & get back to running outdoors. A big thank you to Leslie for the entry! {Be sure to check out her blog – its one of my favorites!}  J & I ran it together and both thought it was a great way to kick of his birthday! We spent the rest of Saturday helping family before heading back to Philly early Sunday morning.
Sunday was spent running errands and relaxing – a perfect rainy Sunday if you ask me. Hope your weekend was relaxing and full!
Today I thought I would share the start of a new series here on Routes&Wings – Currently Dreaming of… A series dedicated to Night/Day outfits inspired by things I’m daydreaming about.  Today I am kicking the series off with a long weekend in a quant little beachtown.
The daytime outfit would be perfect for a early summer beach day with a morning trip through a quant little beach town for light shopping and a cafe breakfast. The BR tote and anchored J.Crew tank are perfect combination for morning window shopping and breakfast before a day at the beach. The versatile gingam top can be thrown on as a layer and the mix of the polk dotted flats and the stripes adds a nice mixed-print element.
Loving this Madewell tanksuit – perfectly thrown on under the layers for an afternoon on the beach. The raybans and straw hat are a must for a beautiful sunny day. And the headband wrap pulls the outfit together with its beautiful coral bow!
The evening outfit epitomizes what a beach getaway should be easy and relaxed. The feminine sandals and the fit & flare skirt echoes the nautical feel of this summer adventure and the jean jacket is perfect for those cool summer nights. I will be looking to include some of these items in my suitcase for beach weekends this summer.
I’d love to know what are some of the staple pieces you’d bring for a day&night at the beach
Links to all the images above are included below. Enjoy a little daydreaming on the first day of a new work week…
