That’s A Wrap – Weekend RoundUp {No.1}

It’s hard to believe we are already into the start of the second week of March – 2014 seems to be flying by. Don’t get me wrong, I am very excited that spring officially starts in 2 weeks – bringing us a week closer to warmer weather and all the beauty that spring has to offer; not to mention longer daylight hours and more time spent outdoors. This weekend gave us our first small taste of warm temperatures. It felt incredible to be able to wear a long sleeve shirt with a vest – rather than bundled with layers upon layers, scarves, gloves, hats and a big winter puffer coat!

Our weekend was perfectly balanced – a little bit of relaxation mixed with a little bit of productivity & just the right amount of work and play. We started off the weekend with a relaxing friday night: watched a HBO movie and Shark Tank – after watching this show, I always feel inspired to start a business, develop a product, or DIY something…

Saturday morning started out with a new fitness class. I plan to share more about our experience later this week on the blog {in addition to discussing my current fitness routine + including an update on my 21 day challenge} stay tuned…

After the class, we got ready to spend the afternoon at the Well’s Fargo Center. We had tickets to the Villanova (my alama mater) vs. Georgetown game – our last wedding gift from my cousins. We had a wonderful time – great seats & caught a great VU win –  the perfect way to cap off a memorable & successful season.

After the game, we attended Saturday evening mass before  trying a new spot for dinner, Garces Trading Co. The food was amazing – I absolutely recommend: the margerita flatbread, meatballs & rigatoni, and the beef brisket! The service was stellar and the ambience was perfect for a relaxed yet cozy evening meal.

Sunday morning we opted for a later wakeup call than usual – it was nice to sleep in but strange to feel like we lost an hour in the day. Anyone else feel a little disoriented when daylight savings rolls around? We went for a run in the morning {day3of21} and then spent the rest of the day relaxing and catching up on work. Grabbed a his’ & her’s beverages of choice on a mid-afternoon walk.

All in all a great weekend – feeling re-charged and ready to take on the work week! Thanks for reading along!

Get to know D: Favorite moment of the weekend, watching a grandfather enjoy the basketball game with his grandson – just the two of them & a Saturday afternoon basketball game…
