Lucky 7|Going for Gold & Supporting Red

Happy Friday! The first week of February is in the books & I’ve got to say “2014 you are certainly keeping us on our toes.” Between NYC fashion week, snow, the upcoming week of love, more snow, and the start of the olympics, busy may just be a understatement. The NYCFW feature event  was the Go Red For Women RedDress Collection. This organization holds a very special place in my heart – something I hope to share with you all in the future. It’s so refreshing to see influential people embracing the importance of using their platform to raise awareness for a condition that impacts so many women.  Thank you NYCFW, thank you.

In other news, I’m looking forward to watching the opening ceremonies tonight – I always love to see how the host country pays tribute to their culture and history. Word on the street is that the ceremony was designed to emulate a dream…it should be captivating. It’s hard to believe the Olympics are here again – it should be a exciting couple of weeks!! #TeamUSA

Finally,  as a weekly feature I plan to highlight 7 weekly treasures from the week. So be sure to check out this week’s features {below} and leave some of your favorite finds in the comments. I hope to see you back here next week…Happy Weekend

Lucky|Esty Shop: LilyandVal – Absolutely adore this sweet shop. The chalkboard designs are detailed, beautiful, and so authentic. The shop owner is just as fabulous as her work – I’ve worked with her (more on this come) and was so impressed. Be sure to check out her valentines day features – you will spend hours browsing…

Lucky|Deal of the Week: I’ve been seeing a lot of nautical blues, whites, and anchors in some of my favorite stores recently. It’s safe to say that including some nautical elements in your spring and summer wardrobes is certainly the way to go. Be sure to check out some of Old Navy’s newest arrivals for inspiration and possibly additions & take advantage of the extra 20% ending today!

Lucky|Feature: Glitter Guide – Love this feature by the women of Glitter Guide on what the editors were packing in their Fashion Week Bag. It seems we are all fighting the battle against the dry winter air. Nice to know we are in good company. Be sure to check out this post and my post from earlier this week to stock up on some winter essentials.

Lucky|Philly Pheature: The Philly Cheesesteak Shuffle – The Geico Superbowl commercial. If you haven’t seen the tribute to the great cheesesteak rivalry, be sure to check it out {follow this link}.  It highlights two of the most sought after attractions in Philly. For all philadelphia readers, dare I ask: Pats or Genos?

Lucky|Style Item: I absolutely love tweed and have been on the hunt for a great tweed jacket for quite some time. PPF featured a post this week with a fabulous tweed jacket at a even better price. Be sure to check out her full post! She has the knack for putting together perfectly styled outfits at even better prices…oh and snag this jacket while its still available..

Lucky|Event of the Week: New York City Fashion Week – I’ve been following some of my favorite bloggers {Gal Meets Glam & With Love From Kat} as they stylishly navigate through NYCFW despite all the snow. I’m looking forward to seeing some sneak peaks of the Fall 2014 lines from J.Crew and Tory Burch, a local philly gal.

Lucky|Quote of the Week: Friday Wisdom – Finally, I thought I would end this week on this note. It captures perfectly the way in which I hope to live my life – full of love because there is much to love in this one beautiful life we’ve been given.
